The front page of the Independent last week
The comment by James Watson boldly displayed on the front page of the Independent newspaper last week that: Africans Are Less Intelligent Than Westerners should serve as a reminder that we need to challenge the legacies of the past.

It seems that nearly everyone - including people of African descent, are only too happy to bury their heads in the sand, to dismiss the notion that we are still affected by the legacies of chattel enslavement and colonization and to buy into the false notion that we live in an equitable world that is mostly free of racism and inequality, yet are the first to become outraged when views like the one expressed by James Watson make it into the public domain.

So the little boy goes off to bed thinking about what Dad has said. Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying, so he gets up to check on him, and he finds that the baby has severely soiled his diaper. So the little boy goes to is parents' room and finds his mother fast asleep. Not wanting to wake her, he goes to the nanny's room. Finding the door locked, he peeks in the keyhole and sees his father in bed with the nanny. He gives up and goes back to bed.
